Toronto Covid19, January 2021On July 15, 2021 Toronto city council has approved renaming of Dundas Street, Dundas Square and several other locations and businesses with related names. It was approved after a petition signed by over 14,000 people that was launched in June 2020 as anti-racism protests sparked in Toronto and around the world.

Henry Dundas, 1st Viscount Melville, [1742 – 1811] was seriously controversial over his role in delaying the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade. On top of that this Scottish politician has absolutely no connection to Toronto.

We have several Squares and Streets in our collection, and as soon as we know what new names are going to be we will apply that change.

I have just on question: What will happen with small city called Dundas, just 72km away from Toronto?
