this relatively recent urban development in the prime location of downtown toronto was designed with the idea to bring new “energy” into an area that was becoming progressively worse. the intention was to create a space with the potential of fulfilling needs of pedestrians with different events, as well as helping ease traffic (a parking garage is underneath the entire square). the result is a hybrid between real human energy and the energy of the cyber world.
