recently few new urban squares–like spaces were developed in the st. lawrence market area. this one is small pleasant space, on the back of welington square building. geographically it belongs to the same neighbourhood but somehow, probably because it was developed as private initiatives around corporate building.

.................welington square, toronto, canada, 2006
it has specific substance quite distant from the rest of the community.

the other recently developed space nearby, courthouse square park (on the small picture) looks even more distant and cold.
