On the September 27, 2019 Global Climate Strike movement organized this gathering of concerned people. Great number of kids are accompanying their parents, and even older generation, thinking about what kind of ancestors we are going to be in the vision of our children.
Queen's Park is in front of the Ontario legislature surrounded by big business on one side and Toronto University on the other was ideal place and space, particularly for this protest. Big business responsible for what was done and science responsible for finding the way to fight this huge problem. Of course political entity, in the middle, is responsible to provide conditions for both. Space is rarely used for anything else being cut of with large traffic circle without pedestrian connection.
This is in any case very important function, need for protests is also part of the reason why city squares are important part of urban social life.
