❖Market Lane Park, Toronto, 2021 |
|
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Previous Fairbank Park Plaza, Toronto
This is just a starting point of presenting this space with huge potential. Market Lane Park or otherwise called Market Square, is located on the east side of the St. Lawrence Market north building, now under construction. It is expected to be finished sometimes next summer. At the same time Market Square should be also finished and connected to the exciting new inside space. |
We will be overlooking progress from our balcony, in a same way we were following demolition of the old building.
We have lot of materials from the area on our website, get familiar and come back soon for the progress. I am recommending psychogeography portrait of the first ten historic blocks we visited just a few months ago. |
Check one of our links to St. Lawrence Market on Youtube.
More info about st/ Lawrence market: More info about improvements planned for Market Lane Park. We are promising visits and visual additions to this space regularly. |

Market Lane Park Improvements Preferred Concept Public Workshop #3 March 28, 2022 We acknowledge the land and water we are meeting on are territories shared by many nations for thousands of years including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is a part of Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit and the Dish with One Spoon Wampum. |
To improve Market Lane Park and the public right of way in front of the North Market building through a design and construction process that responds to heritage, maintains pedestrian connectivity from King Street to Front Street, connects with the new St. Lawrence North building, integrates Indigenous place-keeping, and enhances park amenities.
