Queens Quay Terminal, Toronto, Canada, 2024[open in full screen]

  < Previous Love Park

On our walk from The Love Park towards Harbourfront you have to pass Queen's Quay Terminal. Most people select the left path, it is more attractive, it is taking you along the lake Ontario, lots of restaurants and nice sitting options. I have selected the right path.

Queen's Quay Terminal is a condominium, office and retail complex. It was built in 1927 as a marine terminal. When shipping to Toronto declined in the 1960s and 1970s, the building was bought by the Government of Canada to be repurposed along with a section of the industrial waterfront. Building itself was rebuilt in the 1980s with the addition of four floors of residential condominiums above the original facility. Much more info in wikipedia.

Space around it is incorporated to the Harbourfront development. We are here now observing area near the main entrance. Pleasant square like space with mature trees and secluded sitting space is appreciated not only by us but also by friendly flock of pigeons. Inside of the building is also very interesting, check it bellow if you are interested.
