Amalienborg, Copenhagen, Denmark, 1977 – 2015

  Previous

In 1977 I have visited Copenhagen and Amalienborg, on a trip with my family. On the top photo you can see my father Slobodan and my mother Ivanka in the distance. Unknown person working on his nails is sitting on the exact spot where my daughter is sitting 38 years later.

That trip is described in more details on my daughter travel blog.

Amalienborg is the home of the Danish royal family. It consists of four identical classical palace façades around an octagonal courtyard (Danish: Amalienborg Slotsplads); in the centre of the square is a monumental equestrian statue of Amalienborg's founder, King Frederick V.
