This is considered one of the best neighbourhoods in [San Francisco de] Quito, with trolleybus lines and nightlife around. You can walk to the old city as well as Mariscal (for bars and tourist area), in 10/20min. Bust to 5 time president of Ecuador Hose Ibarra is having prominent position here.

Excellent hotels are located around like Apart Hotel Amaranta, Hilton Colon Quito and Los Alpes. On the next corner La Mariscall Craft Market is located as well as good shopping centre Espiral visible as a colourful building on this corner.

Good example how very easily improvement can be made for pedestrian safety and usage of the space.

This is good starting point for this visit to Ecuador capital.
