Previous Place du Panthéon, Paris

This space is squeezed between Rue the Ecoles, where the main entrance to central historic building of the famous university of Sorbone is located, and attractive medieval Hotel de Cluny now hosting national museum of the middle ages.

Park itself looks somewhat neglected with its natural looking vegetation but actually provides secluded space very convenient as a resting spot. Copy of the well known Roman sculpture of the she-wolf feeding the twins Romulus and Remus, image associated with the founding of Rome is located in one corner.

It has latin inscription but not indication why it is here. I like details like this, there must be some significant reason. I might be able to find connection, come back soon to find out.
