This square like public space in the centre of the "Old Town" Beograd is one of the most popular social spots with three restaurants, and headquarters of the "Politika" main Yugoslavian newspaper, some 25-30 years ago when we were hanging around here.

Monument to the Mosa Pijade, important figure during the resistance of partizans to the German occupation during second world war, is located here.

  This very successful artwork by Branko Ruzic was now almost forgotten, but still standing without any reference to what it represents. Even the square itself formerly named Trg [Square] Mose Pijade is now nameless??

I just find out in October 2022 that Square was recently named after Branislav Nusic, popular Serbian writer. Monument is still there but nameless, without any mentions about Mose Pijade or its author.

   Few patios are still popular but in very different Beograd from what it was before, they are attracting quite different crowds, intellectuals, artists and news reporters are gone, probably forever, together with the printing industry itself.
