Plaza with very ambitious name, together with the whole area, was developed especially for the 1929 Spanish-American exhibition. I didn't like this space.

It is advertised as monumental - spectacular but it looks and feels more like a movie set, false, untruthful and surreal.

It is not surprising that this type of architecture is called Moorish revival?

PS. I have recently find out that this plaza was a set for numerous movies, among others "star wars".
