Herald Square, New York, USA, 2008[open in full screen]

Previous Apple Plaza, New York, USA

Herald Square is a city park renovated, funded, and managed by the 34th street partnership. It is patrolled by both New York City police and the security force of the partnership."!? Under it a list: "You are welcome to", 5 items listed, 2 of them prohibitive, and "Park guidelines prohibit", 12 items listed [photo bellow right].

Almost like if you are actually asked to, please, not use the park, we spent money making it this way and we would like it to be intact forever. What the square is intended for, NOT FOR PEOPLE obviously. Square is surrounded by some of the most famous and expensive stores and one would never expect those visiting them to cause any harm to the environment.   Management is encouraging input from the users so if you have one visit www.34thstreet.org.

It is reminding us to the very similar square in Chicago.
