this plaza is one of the symbols of the havana vieja (old). most of the buildings including catedral de san cristóbal are from the 18th century. the oldest building is palacio de los marqueses de arcos from 1700 and museo de arte colonial from 1720 one of the finest examples of the colonial architecture.
