this beautiful square just off las ramblas is one of the most buzzing plazas in the city. a prime night-life spot, plaça reial offers everything from upscale restaurants to bars and pubs. the square was built in the 1850s and features impressive architecture, scattered tall palm trees and lampposts designed by gaudî in the neo-classical style.
