an old square in the downtown beograd, built on a previously empty lot in front of the main gate of the beograd fortress. national theater, national museum and some other important buildings are on this square. main venue for public gatherings, protests, celebrations even concerts. equestrian monument to king mihajlo is occupying the central spot on the square.

ovaj trg u centru beograda izgradjen je na mestu koje je prethodno bilo prazno ispred ulaza u staru beogradsku tvrdjavu. narodno pozoriste, narodni muzej i neke druge vazne javne gradjevine su takodje na ovom trgu. to je glavno mesto u gradu za javne manifestacije, proteste, proslave i koncerte. u "nase" vreme "konj" - spomenik knezu mihajlu, bilo je ubedljivo najpopularnije mesto za sastanke u gradu.
