the oldest preserved ambient in beograd are this couple of streets hidden within the remains of the walls of the old beograd fortress. streets are paved in old fashion – turkish cobblestone, very uneven and unfriendly to the cars which is making it avoidable by the heavy traffic.

few oldest still standing buildings in beograd are in this street. it is very popular tourist attraction and it is also popular in the local art circles. lot of well known artists are having their studios in the area and there are few very good galleries around.
